Every year since my boys were just itty bitty we have hosted a Halloween Party. We take this very seriously over here. Very. I think part of the reason I love it so much is because it is the one “holiday” (I say this very loosely) that I get to host every year without question. I love hosting parties. The food, the decorations, the company, all of it. My husband takes it very seriously as well. Each year he manages… Read more »

These Cookies are a family favorite. Every time October hits we have to make these as much as possible before its time to pull out Christmas cookie recipes. The cookies are cake-like but also chewy, and have the perfect amount of spice. They are best served cold with a nice big glass of milk, or of course a cup of coffee. One thing that I learned while taking my sweet time trying to make the cookies turn out the best… Read more »

This salsa is perfect. Spicy, but not too spicy, tangy, and fresh. This recipe makes a large amount so be sure you have adequate storing. I usually store it in about 4-5 large mason jars. Its perfect to pass out to your neighbors, so make up a batch and share with friends and family. You are going to need four large cans of whole peeled tomatoes. If you are a member at Costco they sell a huge can of whole… Read more »

When my sweet second born turned six his one and only request was cake pops. Cake Pops! I have made my fair share of cake pops but I truly believe these turned out better than any of the others I have made. I have kind of learned through trial and error what to do, and what not to do. My second born has pretty severe food allergies. When I say severe, I mean he is allergic to almost everything. That makes baking and… Read more »

via  Fall. It seems to be everyone’s favorite time of year, and now since it is officially October and the mornings and evenings are somewhat cooling off, I think I can start embracing the season. We are far from sweaters and cooler weather, but that doesn’t mean I can’t pull out a pumpkin candle or two. Enjoy a few of my favorite fall ideas floating around the internet.  via I may have to change up my Instagram Picture Frame into a… Read more »

A week or so ago we had a dreary rainy day. In September. In Arizona. Y’all this never happens. It of course went right back to being 100 degrees again, but on that dreary September day, I embraced fall. I let the laundry pile up (even more) let baby girl sit on top of the counter, and we made banana bread. I used my banana bread recipe and added a little streusel topping to fancy things up a bit. This bread is easy, delicious, and… Read more »

Even though summer is winding down in many places, and everyone is embracing fall and all things pumpkin, here in AZ its still 100+ everyday. So, because of that, I am going to share with you one of my favorite summer recipes. Yes, another salad. But this one is extra delicious because it is in pizza form. This is a perfect dinner for a warm (or hot) night. Pair it with a grilled chicken breast and you have yourself a nice full meal…. Read more »

Coffee. Need I say more? I drink water or coffee. That’s about it. However living in Arizona drinking hot coffee in the afternoon is like torture so iced coffee is the way to go. It was a glorious day when I found this recipe online from the Pioneer Woman to make your own iced coffee concentrate. Now I am going to pay it forward and brighten up your day by sharing the recipe with you! First you need to start with… Read more »

During summers in Arizona I tend to cook a lot of meals that don’t require a lot of heat. This means we eat a lot of salads. Now my husband is very much a meat and potato man, so salads aren’t really his “thing”. This means I have to get creative and make some “manly food” into salads. That is exactly how the idea of this salad came to be, I took a guy favorite, the chicken wing, and turned it into a… Read more »

It has been a pretty heavy week over here. On Wednesday I shared a little piece of my heart with my story of hope. Words cannot express how incredible you all made this mama feel, thank you for that. I had knots in my stomach the whole night before that post went up. I am glad it has touched so many of you and I pray that throughout the series God uses my words to help those of you who need it….
