This room has been such a work in progress.
This space is small…like really small. Because of the size of the room it made the arrangement of furniture a little difficult. I had to be very intentional with the items that were placed in there.
I love the way it turned out. There are so many little details and special pieces that are in this room.
The owl mobile in the corner is probably one of my favorite crafts I have made. The branch used is from part of my sister in laws wedding centerpieces, making it that much more special.
The bookshelves were a DIY that my Dad and I completed just a few weeks before baby boy was born. I found the idea on Pinterest and couldn’t be more in love with how they turned out. I actually made another set for my bedroom.
The dresser was a really old piece that we inherited from my sister in laws ranch house. It was old, smelly, and pretty banged up. A little Annie Sloan Chalk Paint and some new pulls from Hobby Lobby and it looks brand new!!
The sign was another project. I found some salvaged wood and pieced it together then painted on one of my favorite verses for my littles.
I decided to put the crib in the closet because of space issues. It snuggles in there nicely making for a little nook, and opens up a little more space in his bedroom.
I love that there are so many special personal touches throughout. The stick we used as a curtain rod was found by my hubby while he was backpacking. It fits perfectly in the room. The antlers were my father in laws. They were from the first deer he ever got as a child (he was twelve years old).
This room is pretty special, and the little boy who will eventually be sleeping in here, even more special. One day, I will let him grow, and on that day he may actually move in here. Until then, its pretty to look at! What is with these last babies, we hold on just a little tighter don’t we?
