It has been a long while since I have shared a recipe with y’all. I apologize. Life is crazy. Like really crazy. Between house showings and then finally selling, to vacations and summer break, messing up my kitchen and setting aside the time to photograph and post recipes have taken a major backseat.

But I am back, with a good one.

This recipe is simple, and delicious, and honestly just a great healthy snack.

My kids love these, and the baby, he loves them even more. He shoves as many into his mouth as possible and then screams for more.

Yeah, that’s his new thing. It’s quite lovely and I am sure you’re all jealous.

Happy, scream. Thirsty, scream. Sad, scream.

Scream, scream, scream.

Yup, jealous, I knew it.

Anyways, back to the beans.

With just the right amount of heat and the perfect amount of sweet these beans caramelize perfectly in the oven giving them an addicting chewy crunch that you’ll find yourself screaming for more too.

Was that corny enough to sell these to ya?!

Boy, I think I need more practice to get back into the swing of things.

Anyways, without any further ado.

Sweet and Spicy Roasted Garbanzo Beans

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Combine all spices and then sprinkle over garbanzo beans. In a separate small container mix olive oil and honey together. Drizzle over garbanzo beans and stir well making sure beans are evenly coated with honey and spices. Pour beans onto cookie sheet and place into oven. Cook at 400 degrees until beans begin to darken. Test a bean to see if it is crunchy enough after about 20 minutes. If not return back to oven and cook until crunchy. Cool beans and enjoy.
